GODSENT: The Swedish Sensations

GODSENT coming to Northern Arena 2016

GODSENT Swedes to Canada

Many prayers have been answered as GODSENT will be coming to compete on Canadian soil at the Northern Arena Toronto LAN Final. Led by ex-Fnatic in-game leader, Markus “pronax” Wallsten, GODSENT will be looking to take the tournament by storm with their European-style Counter Strike. The team ascended under the name Team Ancient, which pronax formed soon after his release from Fnatic. Before re-branding to GODSENT, Ancient managed to accumulate several top finishes in the Nordic CS:GO scene, including a Major first place finish at Pantamera CS:GO Challenge in Stockholm. The Swedish team made their first LAN appearance at Dreamhack Masters Malmö, earning 3-4th place after losing 2-1 to Ninjas in Pyjamas in the semi-finals. During that tournament, they also managed to take down German squad mousesports, who just recently finished 3-4th in ELEAGUE.

A Bright Future Ahead

Starting his own Esports organization is something that pronax had always wanted to do. Joined by the likes of Andreas “znajder” Lindberg, Mathias ”pauf” Köhler, Simon “twist” Eliasson, and Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson, pronax’s goal is to follow in the footsteps of Astralis and start growing vital roots for his new organization. Although they have much to improve on, progress has been made since the teams inception and will continue to be made going forward. One thing is certain, with former teammate Jonatan “Devilwalk” Lundberg coaching Optic Gaming, they are going to have to come prepared with a new bag of tricks. Either way, look for GODSENT to bring some exciting competition to Northern Arena by utilizing their vast experience and variation of play. Hopefully, they will be able to perform as well in Canada as they do at home with their Swedish fans at their back.
